     We are fortunate to have a fun and talented team to showcase and we hope you enjoy getting to know us a little better! This month, we are putting the spotlight on Corey Wilkins, Network and Systems Engineer.

    Tell us about yourself…

    My name is Corey, and I grew up here in the valley. I enjoy reading, hanging out with friends, and going to live music events. I tend to float between hobbies, but currently I’m trying to pick back up the piano! If I’m not doing any of those things, I’m usually studying for a technical certification. 

    Describe your current role and what you are most proud of or excited about with your team. 

    My current role is a network and cloud architect. I help manage and build out our internal network and cloud infrastructure. The thing that excites me the most about working with my team is how willing everyone is to try new technologies and processes to help empower our employees. Everyone I work with comes to the table with awesome ideas and no one tries to turn them away before talking through it.

    What do you most value about working at Forward Advantage?

    I value the attitude everyone has when working and the values Forward Advantage communicates to all of us. I believe Forward Advantage’s core values of caring, collaborating, and doing what’s right are practiced every day. It’s a great atmosphere to be in.

    What is the biggest challenge you face in your role? 

    Keeping up! Tech never stops evolving and there are so many parts that it can be overwhelming at times, but this is also what makes it the most exciting. Continuous learning and the time involved is the most challenging.

    What do you most value about working in the healthcare industry? 

    Helping people is what I value most about working in the healthcare industry. Although I am not an external facing employee, I believe that my job supporting employees ultimately helps our customers and their patients.

    How do you keep yourself grounded in times of great stress or change?

    When things get chaotic, or a big change is happening, I like to remember why I’m participating. Taking a step back and remembering that I’m not just doing this work for personal gain, but for the benefit of customers and patients, helps put things in perspective.
