A recent upgrade to Communication Director 4.1 provides the hospital with browser-based benefits and easier management.
We’re excited to share a new case study featuring an interview with a clinical analyst at Marion General Hospital (Marion, IN). You’ll be able to read about his experience with Communication Director for enterprise-wide faxing and report distribution and the hospitals recently upgraded to the 4.1 platform.
Marion General and Forward Advantage have worked together on multiple initiatives over our 15+ year relationship and we couldn’t be happier to help them upgrade their report distribution solution. They have also recently adopted a biometric patient identification solution for improved patient safety. Read more about their experience with biometric identification here.
ON DEMAND & AUTOMATED REPORT DELIVERY
Marion General uses Communication Director’s DesktopFax functionality for on-demand faxing, along with seven different SmartRoutes to automate clinical report delivery and provider notifications. With SmartRoutes in place, MEDITECH Lab and Pathology reports are automatically delivered to the correct recipient according to their timing and delivery preference.
Additionally, SmartRoutes for email and fax notifications allow departments to respond to order requests in a timelier fashion.
Benefits of Upgrading
End users at Marion General were happy with their prior version of Communication Director, which they’d had since 2003, but version 4.1 has been well received throughout the hospital.
The upgrade provides simplified installation, better reporting, easier management with dashboards, saved searches and more.
