Collaboration Partners for an Improved Healthcare Experience

Forward Advantage has a long history of partnering with other vendors that support our initiative of improving the healthcare experience for both providers and patients – read about our MEDITECH-endorsed e-prescribing collaboration. We are a long-term partner and authorized reseller/implementer of Imprivata authentication and single sign-on solutions. This includes Imprivata OneSign and Imprivata Mobile Device Access (MDA), which extends the convenience of single sign-on to clinical mobile devices.

Imprivata and our collaboration partner, DrFirst, have helped identify areas where clinical workflows can be securely streamlined for better productivity and enhanced care. This led to a joint initiative to integrate Imprivata MDA with DrFirst Backline, a secure messaging solution. This collaboration was recently announced, and you can read the official press release here.

Forward Advantage’s role in this collaboration is to ensure a successful implementation that’s tailored for the unique needs of hospitals and healthcare organizations. We have a deep understanding of the nuances between the various vendors necessary to achieve single sign-on success, and we use this knowledge to implement proper workflows that enhance provider satisfaction and patient care.

Mobile Devices are Gaining Popularity

Care teams are increasingly mobile, and enterprise-owned, shared devices from manufacturers such as Zebra, Honeywell, and Samsung are gaining popularity.

These devices come with clear benefits – convenience, greater efficiency, and improved care team coordination to name a few. However, there are considerations to address for a successful adoption. This includes selecting the right device for your clinical workflow, the security of PHI, and the amount of time it takes staff to log-on.

As an authorized reseller and implementer of Imprivata MDA, Forward Advantage can extend Imprivata OneSign single sign-on to clinical mobile devices and mobile applications like MEDITECH Point of Care, Epic Rover and DrFirst Backline. We have the tools, resources and experience to ensure seamless integration with your system.

Hear From a Shared Customer

King’s Daughters Medical Center (Brookhaven, MS) is a shared customer of both Forward Advantage and DrFirst. With the joint collaboration, King’s Daughters extended the use of mobile devices and single sign-on to include secure messaging. The same single sign-on solution is now used to authenticate into the mobile device and MEDITECH’s Point of Care, as well as into King’s Daughters’ secure messaging solution for real-time care team communications.

Read our recent success story featuring King’s Daughters Medical Center and its deployment of Imprivata MDA with Zebra devices. Greater efficiency and improved adoption of clinical mobile devices are just a couple of benefits this customer has experienced.
